The excise department has said that the file will be returned to the owner as soon as the vehicle is registered.
According to media reports, Director Excise Islamabad says that anyone who registers someone else’s vehicle will have to bring a biometric authority letter.
Unregistered vehicle owners must register in one month. Director Excise further says that after one month the biometric of the seller will also be made mandatory.
It should be remembered that earlier the excise department used to keep the file of the vehicle after registration.
