Please provide a detailed explanation of your background as well as information about the company you represent.
I am Abdul Rashid, and I hail from Karachi. After completing my intermediate education at Premier College Karachi, I headed to the UK to pursue higher education. I earned my degree in hospitality from the University of Wales, England, UK.
During my time in the UK, I gained valuable experience through internships and part-time jobs at various hotels. My interest in the hospitality industry grew immensely when I worked as a receptionist at the Marriott London Heathrow Hotel.
After completing my studies in the UK, I moved to Dubai to explore better opportunities and eventually landed a managerial position at the Dubai Media City Hotel. After working at multiple hotels in Dubai, I founded Luxurybookings.ae in January 2022.
As a hotelier and travel expert, I saw the potential in owning a travel agency that caters to travelers’ needs and makes their travel experience seamless.
Our company is based in Dubai, Al Barsha 1, located right next to the Mall of Emirates. We offer a variety of products and services such as hotel accommodation bookings, excursions bookings, luxury yacht and car rentals, and meeting and event services.
How would you describe yourself in one word?
If I had to describe myself in one word, I would say risk-taker. I am always willing to take risks and try new things.
What motivated you to start your own company?
After gaining valuable experience, learning from travel industry leaders, and attending various events, exhibitions, seminars, and workshops during my seven-year stay in the UAE, I felt confident to venture into something new and take calculated risks. With the grace of God, I started my own business, and He made my journey easy by guiding me every step of the way. Despite the challenges, my company is still progressing towards our goal.
What is the objective of your company?
Our main objective is to become the top luxury travel and concierge company in UAE, providing a one-stop platform for all domestic and international travelers to book all their travel needs.
Could you describe the journey that led your company to its current position?
It was a challenging decision to leave my job and enter the travel industry market, where many established giants were already operating. However, I took the leap of faith, and with the grace of God, my company is now meeting its monthly targets and moving forward towards achieving our yearly objectives.
What do you think is the biggest strength of your company at present?

What are the significant obstacles that you have encountered and overcome?
The most significant challenge for me was leaving my job and starting from scratch, especially after working as a professional in various hotels in the UK and UAE. Starting a business was a tough decision, but with the help and support of the Almighty, everything fell into place, and we were able to overcome the challenges that came our way.
What motivates you about Mondays?
Mondays have always been a source of positive energy for me, with new clients, meetings, and opportunities that motivate me to start the week with enthusiasm and optimism.

One of the projects that pushed me to be creative, innovative, and competitive in the global market was Luxurybookings.ae. I believe in being solution-oriented, even in the face of adversity or chaos. Every problem has a solution, and finding one gives me a sense of calm and direction. This approach has helped me to keep pushing forward and achieve the best in challenging situations.
How do you envision your company evolving in the next two years, and what role do you see yourself playing in that evolution?
After establishing a solid foothold in the UAE market, I plan to expand our operations outbound in the next two years. We have several exciting projects planned for next year, which will necessitate hiring new staff. As the head of the company, I will continue to lead and guide our team, ensuring that we are moving in the right direction towards achieving our goals.

Currently, we are focused on providing a comprehensive range of travel services in the UAE market, including hotel bookings, UAE excursions, meetings and events, and luxury yacht and car rentals.
