Fakhar Zaman’s century against New Zealand in the second ODI at the Pindi Cricket Stadium helped him become the fastest Asian batsman to reach 3000 ODI runs.
The left-handed opener beat his captain Babar Azam’s record, who needed 68 innings to reach the same milestone, by doing it in his 67th innings.
Fakhar has equaled Shai Hope’s record of 3000 runs in as many innings, making him the second-fastest batter to reach that milestone.
