Pakistan’s opening batsman, Fakhar Zaman, is set to undergo a fitness assessment in a training session today as he recovers from a knee injury.
His fitness status will determine whether he can participate in the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 match against South Africa on Friday.
Zaman missed the previous matches against Australia and Afghanistan due to his injury, which has limited his participation in the tournament to just one match, in which he scored 12 runs against the Netherlands.
His availability for the upcoming match will be decided based on his performance in today’s training session.
