Federal Minister For Religious Affairs Dies in Tragic Traffic Accident

Maulana Abdul Shakoor, the federal minister for religious affairs, died in a car crash on Saturday night near Secretariat Chowk Islamabad.

The Police confirmed that the federal minister for religious affairs Shakoor was taken to Polyclinic Hospital, where he, unfortunately passed away due to his serious injuries.

According to reports, Shakoor was driving from Marriott Hotel to Secretariat Chowk when a Black Hilux Revo struck his car.

The late minister’s burial prayer will be recited on Sunday at 2 p.m. in Tajbi Khel in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat district.

In response to Mufti Abdul Shakoor’s death, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent his condolences. The premier issued a statement in which he expressed his condolences to Mufti Abdul Shakoor’s family.

Prime Minister also praised the late minister for his services to society as a practical scholar, an activist for an ideology of politics, and a kind person. Shehbaz mentioned Maulana Abdul Shakoor as one of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) brilliant and ideological leaders.
