First Pak-China Co-Production Film to Hit Cinema Today

Pak-China’s first co-production film, Ba’tie Girl is set to hit cinemas on 4th August. Based on the friendship between the people of Pakistan and China, the film is co-produced by the China Film Administration & Hunarkada Films of Pakistan.

Starring Wang Jia Jia, Shaiza Chana, Surah Arman Khan, Yue Ye, Asif Shah, and others, Ba’tie Girls is a story of a young and passionate girl, Nasa, from a small village in Pakistan dreaming to play football and is inspired by Lu You, a once highly regarded Chinese female footballer now settled in Pakistan.

The film narrates the empowerment of a young girl brought on by a woman from another nation (China) in which Pakistan has put its trust and friendship for decades. Football has been used as a stimulus for social change.

The movie ultimately unravels in such a way that two tribes with ancestor rivalry come together, women’s rights are recognized, and the fate of society is trusted upon the shoulders of a bunch of young girls in a small village in Pakistan.

After its formal release at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) Islamabad, the film will hit Islamabad Club’s cinema on the 4th of August and Bahria Arena on the 7th of August.
