For more than a year now, phones with 100MP+ rear cameras have been available, and although selfie cameras have also received an update, 44MP is the highest pixel count for a front-facing camera. However, this might soon change.
We are curious to know how it will be implemented, though a 100MP+ selfie camera is exciting. The 108MP sensors available are very wide and take up a lot of room on the back of phones, so having one in front will mean that the phone will either have a large notch or a big punch hole.
We look forward to seeing the first phone with a 100MP launch soon and we are pretty sure that once the first smartphone ships, more manufacturers will get on the ride.
Selfie cameras of 100MP are not the only stuff you can be pumped about. Phones with 200MP sensors have been confirmed to arrive this year as well, and the ZTE Axon 30 Pro can be the first phone with a 200MP sensor in the world.
