FlyDubai Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Karachi Airport

A FlyDubai plane made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport on Thursday after a passenger fell seriously ill and subsequently passed away mid-flight. The captain urgently requested permission from Karachi Air Traffic Control (ATC) to land the aircraft immediately due to the medical emergency.

The passenger, identified as Palawini, a Sri Lankan national, was attended to by doctors from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) upon landing. Unfortunately, they confirmed that she had died from a cardiac arrest.

The federal health officer issued a death certificate, and after the necessary procedures were completed, the flight was allowed to continue its journey to Colombo with the passenger’s body on board.

This tragic incident underscores the importance of emergency preparedness and the swift actions taken by the flight crew and Karachi Airport authorities to handle such unforeseen situations.

The airline and airport staff extended their condolences to the family of the deceased and ensured that all protocols were followed with respect and care.
