Imran Khan, who is the Chairman of PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), was arrested from his home in Zaman Park soon after the Islamabad sessions court found him guilty in the Toshakhana criminal case. The court sentenced him to three years in prison and banned him from holding any public office for five years.
The court stated that Imran Khan committed a crime in the Toshakhana case by providing false information to the election commission and engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he has been fined Rs100,000 (a fine of one lakh rupees).
Now, Imran Khan is expected to be moved to Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
