Four Restaurants Owned by Pakistani Businessman Set on Fire in France

France is currently witnessing a series of demonstrations following the tragic death of a 17-year-old named Nahel, who was involved in an incident with the police near Paris at the end of June. These events have resulted in violent protests, with individuals looting stores and setting them on fire. Disturbing videos circulating on social media show people damaging buildings and burning vehicles, while riot police are working to maintain control.

Regrettably, the Pakistani community has also been affected by the unrest, as their businesses have been targeted by the protesters. Ibrahim Dar, a Pakistani entrepreneur who owns several restaurants called Chicken Spot, has suffered significant losses as four of his establishments were looted and set ablaze in different cities. The Pakistani community has shown solidarity with Dar and strongly condemned these incidents.

To address the escalating situation, law enforcement authorities have made numerous arrests of protesters in various cities. French President Emmanuel Macron has pledged to take decisive measures to suppress the protests and restore order. The circumstances surrounding Nahel’s death have sparked a heated atmosphere in France, leading to widespread discussions about police behavior and demands for justice and accountability.
