Free Public Parking Announced in Sharjah for Prophet’s Birthday

In celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday on September 28, the Sharjah Municipality has announced free public parking. This special offer allows residents to park for free on Thursday and Friday.

For public sector employees, this occasion is even more delightful as they will have a day off, giving them an extended four day weekend. They will enjoy a break from work starting on Thursday, September 28, and return to their duties on Monday, October 2.

However, it is important to note that the free parking privilege only applies on Thursday and Friday. Regular parking charges will be in effect on Saturday and Sunday, except for the 7-day paid parking zones.

Additionally, this holiday is not exclusive to Sharjah. Federal government employees and private sector workers across the UAE will also have a day off on Friday, September 29, making it a long weekend for many.

Looking ahead, the next long weekend in the UAE will be during the National Day holidays on December 2 and 3. It is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy a well-deserved break and celebrate the nation’s unity and progress.
