According to Federico Juan Tomas Espana, French Honorary Investment Counsellor, French companies are eager to participate in Pakistan’s tourist sector and build ski resorts in Gilgit-Baltistan. He revealed the information while leading a delegation of French businesses to a meeting with BOI Secretary Fareena Mazhar.
To assist the business group, the BOI has organised a tour of the delegation to five districts in Gilgit-Baltistan, including Ghizar, Astore, Phandar, Nagar, and Skardu, in collaboration with the Gilgit-Baltistan government.
Mazhar, speaking at the event, stated that the recently published Investment Strategy 2020-23 sought to encourage foreign investment into various areas of Pakistan’s economy.
