Encouraging news for all the pilgrims during this Hajj season has been announced. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh, the Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, reported that all the pilgrims can offer Friday prayers in all the mosques located in Makkah.
The decision has been made to facilitate the pilgrims and avoid long travel to Haram for Friday prayer during Hajj. Commencing from 16th June during the whole Hajj period, all the small and large mosques of Makkah will conduct Friday prayers.
Previously, Friday prayer used to be conducted only in Masjid Al-Haram. The initiative is meant to make the holy journey of Hajj convenient for pilgrims altogether. However, those who intend to offer their Friday prayer in Masjid Al-Haram can travel there. Those pilgrims who face any difficulty in traveling, can go to any nearest mosque in Makkah and gather the blessings.
