From 13 September, Pakistan to begin commercial flights to Kabul

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) agreed to resume trade flights from Saturday to Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

PIA chief executive officer, Arshad Malik stated that on Monday the first plane to Kabul will depart from the Islamabad capital, Pakistan, said that its operations will be re-launched by the official flag carrier of Pakistan for Kabul.

The spokesperson of the PIA said that the Civil Aviation Authority of Afghanistan granted clearance to land in Kabul airport.

PIA Speaker Abdullah Hafeez Khan said Pakistan has the full flying technical approval and an Airbus A320 jet will ferry passengers from Islamabad to Kabul.

According to PIA authorities, late last week, PIA ceased temporarily its operations in Kabul.
