After 18 years, New Zealand cricket team arrives in Pakistan

The cricket team of New Zealand landed in the capital of the country on Saturday to play in its first 18 year tournament in Pakistan three ODIs and five T20Is series.

The New Zealand cricket team reached Islamabad on a chartered flight, reports quoting sources.

Quoting sources In a local facility the Kiwis will have a Covid PCR test, whereupon players will be permitted to take part.

In November 2003, in five ODI matches, Kiwis last toured the southern Asian country.

One year earlier, their last test outing in Pakistan took place in May 2002 at Kadhafi Stadium.

With the Black Caps, since 2003, Pakistan has hosted New Zealand for ODIs, 3 times for the 2019-10 and 2014-15 series, 3-2 and 2, respectively, in the United Arab Emirates and 1-1 series for the 2018-19 series.
