In a heartwarming display of interfaith harmony, Alkhidmat Foundation celebrated Diwali by spreading joy to Pakistan’s Hindu community. The charitable organization distributed gifts to 1,400 Hindu families across multiple cities, demonstrating that kindness and compassion know no religious boundaries.
The gift distribution wasn’t limited to just one or two locations. Alkhidmat reached families in Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Sanghar, Ghotki, and Tharparkar, areas with significant Hindu populations.
The packages included practical items that families genuinely need, ration bags filled with essential food items, mosquito nets for protection against disease, hygiene kits for health and cleanliness, and shoes for family members.
Alkhidmat Vice President Zikrullah Mujahid explained the foundation’s philosophy behind this initiative. He emphasized that the organization serves humanity without any discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, or background.
Mujahid also acknowledged the valuable role Pakistan’s Hindu community plays in the country’s development and progress, recognizing them as equal citizens who contribute meaningfully to society.
He further highlighted that sharing in each other’s festive celebrations promotes interfaith harmony and helps build positive traditions of mutual respect and understanding. These gestures, while seemingly simple, create bonds between communities and remind everyone that we share more similarities than differences.
Vice President Syed Ihsanullah Waqas extended warm Diwali greetings to the Hindu community, promoting messages of respect and unity.
Dr. Shankar Lal, representing the Hindu community, expressed gratitude to Alkhidmat for their consistent support of minorities and their efforts in fostering an inclusive society where everyone feels valued and respected regardless of their faith.
