According to the sources, the Department of Tourism of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) has started actions to control and legalize the tourist flow in the region. And for this reason, they have launched many reforms that will implement considering local people whose earning strongly depends upon this sector.
According to statistics, “the number of visitors is expanding at a quick pace in several districts” and attracted more than a million tourists last year. As a result, the region’s 4,000 hotels and eateries were all fully booked to handle the surge of tourists.
Saifullah, the Director of the GB Tourism Department, confirmed that the improvements were implemented under his direction.
