Glaciers across World will be ‘Unavoidably Lost’ by 2050

Glaciers all over the world would be inescapably lost by 2050 because of climate change.

Glaciers in a third of UN World Heritage sites would melts within 30 years, according to the report of UNESCO.

Around 18,600 glaciers have been recognised all over 50 UN World Heritage sites. The shows almost 10% of the Earth’s glacierised area and include well known tourist spots and places sacred to local populations.

According to the report which makes projections on the basis of satellite data, comes as world leaders ready to meet in Egypt for next week’s COP27 climate change conference.
