According to recent reports, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell will miss the Pakistan tour in March-April this year due to his marriage.
Maxwell has announced his absence from the Pakistan tour due to his marriage in late March, according to ESPNcricinfo. However, as per reports, the right-handed powerful hitter will also miss the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2022.
After a 24-year absence, Australia will visit Pakistan for three Tests, as many ODIs, and a one-off T20I. Further, the Australians will play three Tests in Rawalpindi, Karachi, and Lahore respectively, to begin their tour. Also, for the Test series, they have named a full-strength squad.
David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Pat Cummins, Marcus Stoinis, Josh Hazlewood, Matthew Wade, and Daniel Sams are all expected to miss the start of the IPL 2022 due to the national duty in Pakistan, according to sources.
