Google Search is Finally Getting a Dark Mode on Desktop Devices

For Google Search on Windows 10 and macOS, Google has begun testing a dark mode. Previous month was the last time users reported seeing a dark theme.

As per reports, Google is currently in the A/B testing stage.

The context of Google’s search pages will be very dark grey if the test is rolled out and your system is set to dark mode.

With a message about the new Dark theme, Google Search will greet you with the option to activate it or continue it as usual. When the Dark Theme carries over to your mobile browser’s Search, there is no word.

If it’s not available on your desktop yet, you still have the option to use force dark mode (if you’re using a Chromium-based browser) or use an extension like Dark Reader, which lets you add a dark theme to any website.
