Among other options, the federal government is considering reducing government employee salaries by 15 to 20% in the interim and freezing the basic pay for pensions for a period of 25 years.
According to sources, a well-known private corporation has been recruited to close the wage gap between employees of various ministries, divisions, and departments, as well as to simplify pay and pension adjustments. It will start working on Monday under the Pay and Pension Commission’s oversight.
In accordance with international standards, the corporation will analyze the entire pay and pension structure and submit a full analysis to the government.
