Recently the Balochistan’s Government has signed an agreement of the Gwadar Shipyard project.
A ceremony was held in this regard in Quetta and it was attended by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, and the Federal Minister for Defense Production, Ms. Zubaida Jalal along with the other federal and the provincial officials.
While addressing to the media on this occasion of signing an agreement, the Chief Minister termed the project as a historic move and it was also said that this project would surely bring the economic stability to Balochistan as to the whole province.
However, the Federal Minister for Defense Production said that there was a long need for a shipyard in Gwadar. However, she added this under the agreement that a ship-repairing as well as the maintenance department will also be established. She further said, To run this project of shipyard the youth of this province of Balochistan will be given more preference.
