Meet An Immensely Talented Sculptor from Sindh: Fakeero Solanki

Fakeero, born into a family of sculptors in Tando Allahyar, began sculpting when he was only 12 years old. He began to make idols and sculptures full time after finishing his Intermediate (12th grade).

Sculptor Fakeero Solanki, also known as the Michelangelo of Sindh, won the award from the governor of Sindh. Having received the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz, this was the first time that a member of the Hindu community of Sindh was granted such recognition.

So far, this self-made artist has created nearly 300 sculptures, including famous Pakistani celebrities and world-renowned figures.

Not only did his work earn him praise and recognition in Pakistan, but also across the world where he held exhibitions to showcase his talent. Students from all over Pakistan also study his methods and strive to master them.
