Government of Punjab to create the Asia’s largest urban forest of Miyawaki in Lahore

Punjab CEO Punjav Sardar Usman Buzdar said the Parks & Horticultural Authority (PHA) Lahore intends to plant 112,500 indigenous trees and plants in Asia’s largest urban Miyawaki forest over a hundred channel area in the China Park near the Saggian Bridge.

Accompanying 15 additional places in Lahore City such urban forests will be developed to cultivate a total of 292,500 plants in a statement.

Usman Buzdar added, while presenting information, that there will be 58000 trees planted in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park over an area of 50 channels.

More than 50 channels will also be cultivated in the city. In addition, 13500 trees will be planted in the 12 Channel City Nursery Land, he noted.

Similarly, it has also stated the developments of urban Forests at C-Block Sabzazar, the Karim Park Golbagh near Data Darbar, Mahmood Booti’s side 1 and 2 side, Mustaf Bhatti Park Township, Kashemir Park, and Khalid Butt Park Township, Qaddafi Park Gulshan-e-Ravi, Saggian Interchange, Rustam park Gulshan-e Ravi, Karim Park Golbagh near Data Darbar.
