Sardar Usman Buzdar, the Punjab Chief Minister, gave his approval on Monday to convert Murree’s status to that of a district, which will include the hill station of Murree and other nearby tourist attractions.
The Kohsar Development Authority will be in charge of the rescue and relief efforts, with special money set aside for the acquisition of machinery for the new tourist sector.
The creation of a new district and the Kohsar Development Authority has been ordered by Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
Murree would be detached from Rawalpindi and given the status of a district, with Kotli Sattian and other tourist attractions amalgamated with it to form the Kohsar district, according to sources familiar with the situation.
