Appleās newly launched iPhone Duo could come with a significant PTA registration cost for buyers in Pakistan, with early estimates pointing to taxes of around PKR 323,000 for Passport registration and PKR 353,000 for CNIC registration.
However, these figures are only preliminary estimates and are not official. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has yet to announce the deviceās final customs valuation, while the DIRBS system has not yet started displaying the exact registration amount.
The final PTA tax could vary depending on the phoneās official customs value, exchange-rate calculations, applicable duties and other factors used in the registration process.
Potential buyers are advised not to rely solely on early estimates. They should verify the deviceās IMEI through the official DIRBS system and confirm the applicable tax amount before making any PTA payment.
