According to the Federal Government, there is soon going to be a hike in tax rates on some of the social media apps such as TikTok and YouTube.
Higher officials are thinking of increasing about 1% of the income tax annually.
This decision was made under some harsh conditions which were imposed by the IMF (international monetary fund).
This is for the purpose of securing an amount of $1 billion from the international moneylender.
The current Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif’s government, has been asked to decrease income taxes. So sources are saying that the IMF has imposed harsh conditions to resume their program.
