Government will lower food levies to keep inflation under control

According to insiders, the administration has agreed to lower food levies in response to rising inflation.

According to sources, a conference was conducted here under the auspices of Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss rising inflation and the country’s general economic position.

The Prime Minister was briefed on commodity prices in the country during the meeting, according to sources, who added that the government has decided to lower taxes on food goods in order to provide relief to the populace.

PM Imran Khan has also instructed the relevant authorities to take tough steps against hoarders and false inflation, According to sources.

The Prime Minister urged federal ministers to take steps to establish price control committees, as well as to monitor artificial inflation in their respective areas.
