The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Sajid Hussain Turi, has announced that the government will provide 1 million work permit visas for Pakistanis who wish to go abroad for employment this year.
Turi stated that the Saudi authorities will soon come to Pakistan to issue visas, while new work visa agreements will be signed with 50 other countries, including Germany, Greece, and Romania. He added that Pakistanis who pass the technical training test will be able to obtain visas for Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, Japan has already opened its doors to Pakistani skilled workers and laborers, while South Korea has a demand for 10,000 skilled workers from Pakistan. The announcement of work permit visas for Pakistanis is expected to provide employment opportunities for many, especially those who have been affected by the economic crisis in the country. The initiative will not only help Pakistanis earn a living but also contribute to the economy of the country by bringing in remittances.
