On Wednesday, Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication, said the federal government will float a tender for the building of the Hyderabad-Sukkur motorway project in October.
According to the SAPM, work on the Hyderabad-Sukkur (M6) motorway project will begin soon. In October, an advertising will be released seeking bids for building work on the M6 motorway project.
The National Economic Council’s Executive Committee (ECNEC) approved the construction of the Hyderabad-Sukkur highway at a revised PC-1 cost of Rs 191.471 billion.
Built-operate-transfer (BOT) would be used to build the 306-kilometer, 6-lane, gated highway. The project is scheduled to be finished in 30 months, according to the ECNEC meeting in Islamabad, which was chaired by Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin.
According to him, the Hyderabad-Sukkur project is part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Sindh package.
