Govt Increases Petrol Price by Rs. 4.53, New Price Rs. 293.94 Per Litre

On Monday, the federal government announced an increase in petrol prices by Rs4.53, raising the new rate to Rs293.94 per litre. At the same time, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) went up by Rs8.14 per litre, making the new price Rs290.38.

These updated prices will be in effect starting from April 16, 2024.

In the last price adjustment, the government increased the price of petrol by Rs9.66 per litre. However, during that adjustment, they decreased the price of diesel by Rs3.32 per litre.

The new prices mean that both petrol and diesel will cost more, affecting people who rely on these fuels for their vehicles. The changes may impact transportation costs and the overall economy, as higher fuel prices can lead to increased prices for goods and services. People may need to adjust their budgets to accommodate these new rates.
