According to the reports, A cyber-espionage campaign is currently targeting the telecom companies worldwide with their attacks just by using malicious downloads as it is an effort to steal the sensitive data like information about the 5G technology as from the compromised victims.
The report is revealed by the cybersecurity researchers at the McAfee and as per it, this campaign is now targeting the telecommunications providers of Southeast Asia, United States, and Europe.
More than 23 telecommunications providers have been suspected by targeted as a part of this campaign that is actively working since August 2020. However, it has not been disclosed that how many of these targets were compromised by the hackers successfully.
