Hajj to Cost this Year Around Rs.7 Lack to Rs. 1 Million

Pakistan has stated that this year’s Hajj applications will be accepted between Sunday (May 1) and the 13th of the following month.

On Friday, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony declared at a news conference in Islamabad that applicants could submit their applications online and deposit fifty thousand rupees (Rs 50,000) in selected banks.

The total amount of Hajj will be announced till confirmation from Saudi Arabia.

However, the cost of Hajj this year is expected to be between seven hundred thousand and one million rupees.

Pakistan has received a Hajj quota of 81,132 pilgrims this year, with 40 percent from the government program and sixty percent from the private program.

The Minister has informed the media that the maximum age for pilgrims has been set at 65.

Pilgrims must be vaccinated with a booster shot, he added. According to the policy, pilgrims must be vaccinated with a booster shot and undergo a PCR test at least 72 hours before departure.
