Pakistan’s Former captain Shahid Afridi thinks that Hasan Ali can still be a part of the team. Shahid revealed that he more often have talk with the Hasan Ali and encourage him to return to the national team.
Shahid disclosed this when he was addressing Azhar Ali’s retiring speech. Azhar, recently declared his retirement, highlighted Afridi in his address and was thankful to the former captain for his support throughout his journey.
Former player said that he believes and think it’s important to help and encourage players specially when they are not in form and performing badly.
“Hasan Ali is not in the team. But I know he has performed well for Pakistan. I don’t want people to forget him. I still talk to him, message him and tell him to not lose hope. I tell him to make a comeback and take domestic cricket seriously,” Afridi said.
“As a senior player, it’s your responsibility to support your juniors. Everyone is with you in your good times, but it’s important to give support during bad times too,” he further added, “These are Pakistan’s heroes, if we don’t support them, who will?”
