Heavy Flood Washed Away Bridge, Leaving Gilgit-Baltistan Disconnected from Rest of Pakistan

A heavy flood at Uchaar Nullah stream close by the Karakoram Highway washed out the temporary Compact 200 bridge.

Incident results in disconnecting Gilgit-Baltistan from rest of the country.

Severe rainfall in the area stir up the flash floods, washed away the bridge, located near to the residential camps of the 4,500 megawatts Dasu Hydropower Project.
