The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has introduced a program aimed at providing quality education and essential skills to the youth of Gwadar.
This initiative supports talented students from Gwadar who wish to pursue undergraduate studies (BS-4/5 years Program) at public sector universities and degree-awarding institutions recognized by the HEC. These universities and institutions are located in the provinces of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh.
The scholarship program is part of the government’s efforts to empower students from Gwadar by equipping them with contemporary skills. These skills will enable them to access employment opportunities within the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and other job markets.
Scholarships are available for the academic year leading up to Fall 2023 and cover a wide range of academic disciplines. The program is named “Scholarship Program for Students from Gwadar.”
This particular scholarship is intended for students who hold residence or domicile certificates from the Gwadar district and have completed their 12-year education, including FA/FSs/ICS, ICom, and DAE or equivalent qualifications.
Additionally, it is open to students from Gwadar who are currently enrolled in 4-year BS programs at public sector universities in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Sindh.
