For the first time in Pakistan, Heer Ismail Soho, the first female chief of her tribe in Sindh’s southern province, has been chosen.
After Eid-ul-Fitr in May, she will legally relinquish control of the Soho clan, which has deep roots in the Mirpur Bathoro area of the Sujawal region.
The revelation comes after the clan’s chief, Muhammad Ismail Soho, died in February from a rare coronavirus.
Due to his great commitment in politics and social service, the tribe’s elders and spiritual leader unanimously named his daughter as the tribe’s next leader after his death.
