Saudi Arabia has digitized the driving license available through Tawakkalna and Absher apps. The General Directorate of Traffic, Saudi Arabia, announced the news and communicated the benefits of owning a digital driving license.
According to the General Directorate, there are three benefits of digital driving license.
Convenience
You no longer have to worry about carrying your traditional paper license with you everywhere. Now you can just show the digital license available on your mobile device.
Security
There is no chance of fraud or fake authenticity. Your digital license will have a QR code that can be scanned by law and enforcement representatives to verify the legality.
Sustainability
The digital license ensures environmental sustainability as it reduces paper waste deposition.
