Here’s How You Can Get UAE’s Driving Licence, Vehicle Registration Cards in 2 Hours

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has introduced new services for delivering driving licenses and vehicle registration cards quickly. These services ensure that residents in Dubai can receive their documents within two hours, while those in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah can have them delivered on the same day. Surprisingly, even residents on vacation outside the UAE can request delivery to their location.

To renew their documents, residents need to visit the RTA website and select the “Driver & Car Owner Services” section. From there, they can choose the option to apply for renewing their driver’s license. During the application process, they will need to provide their Emirates ID and Driving License information for verification.

Once the verification is complete, they can select the method of delivery for their license. There are different options available: Premium, Same Day, Standard, and International. The Premium service is for delivery within Dubai, costing AED 50 with an estimated delivery time of two hours. The Same Day delivery service covers Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, costing AED 35 with delivery on the same day. The Standard service is for delivery within the UAE and takes one to five days, priced at AED 20. Lastly, the International service takes around 10 days for delivery, with a cost of AED 50.

It’s important to note that Premium and Same Day delivery services are available from Monday to Friday, specifically between 7:30 am and 12 pm. These services are not available after 12 pm.

During the first quarter of this year, the RTA processed a significant number of vehicle renewal transactions, driving license renewals, transactions for replacing damaged or lost driving licenses, and also issued international driving licenses. These new delivery services aim to streamline the process and provide more convenience to residents in Dubai and other emirates.
