Gold prices in Pakistan hit a record high on Friday, reflecting rising trends in global markets. The price per tola surged by Rs. 3,000, bringing it to Rs. 280,900, while 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 2,572, now priced at Rs. 240,826. This comes after a smaller rise of Rs. 700 the previous day.
Globally, gold reached an unprecedented $2,712 per ounce, gaining $30. This is the first time gold has surpassed the $2,700 mark, driven by uncertainty over the U.S. elections and ongoing Middle East tensions. Loose monetary policies are also fueling this upward momentum.
Silver also saw a rise, gaining Rs. 50 to reach Rs. 3,100 per tola. Experts predict that gold’s bullish trend will continue in the near future, as investors seek safe-haven assets amidst global instability.
