Sheikh Rasheed, the Interior Minister has also announced this news through his tweet where he captioned this as, “You will now receive your passport within 24 hours.” “Use the DGIP Fast Track Service.”

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, the Interior Minister has lauded the DGIP along with Dr. Naeem Rauf for introducing this fast track delivery of passports while facilitating the mass population of the country.

Most people usually try to avoid the hurdle of going to passport offices but due to the necessary work required to be done at the office, all applicants need to visit there.

Quick, Easy, and Fast Delivery Procedure

Standing in long queues to receive passports has always been a challenge for people and the staff at the office for managing queues. However, in order to resolve this issue faced on daily basis at every branch of the passport office, DGIP- the Directorate General Immigration and Passports has introduced a new service to deliver passports to applicants at their doorsteps within 24 hours of application.

This service has been named ‘Fast Track Delivery,’ which is only available in the zonal offices of specific cities of DGIP in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, and Multan.

Around 1,224 applications of passport were received during the period of trial for Fast Track Delivery, where, almost all of them were delivered safely and within the stipulated time of the service, according to DG Immigration and Passports, Dr. Naeem Rauf.

The successful launch of the fast track delivery service of passports has impacted the valuable customers positively whereas, now they are availing the swift and premium delivery of passports at their given addresses.

If any new online applicant wants to apply for a passport but for renewal, all requirements and details are shared on the official website. The local citizens along with the overseas Pakistanis can easily apply for renewal of their passports if it’s near to expiry. The Pakistan embassy in the foreign states also helps overseas Pakistanis in this regard.

Along with the benefits of getting details about the requirements and online submission of application, another great advantage of the website is that you can pay the fee for a new passport of renewal online through a credit card.

The online application, credit card payments, and home delivery, all services have made the procedure really simple, easy, and quick. Previously, the one-week delivery option was available for applicants but now they can apply for 24 hours delivery service by availing of the fast track delivery service.

How to Apply for Fast Track Delivery Service

The Fast Track Delivery Service can be availed by the citizens but firstly, they are advised to visit and apply for their new passport at the zonal offices of DGIP; however, in case of any modification, they can visit the zonal offices. If there is any need for a reprint or in case of loss of passport, the person has to visit the zonal office physically.

  • Get photographed.
  • Affix your fingerprints on the application form.
  • Verify all the information and sign the form (Signature must be as per CNIC).

  • Your scanned color copy of the CNIC or B-form.
  • Your scanned color copy of your existing passport.

The passports with the validity of 5 years and 10 years are available for the citizens of Pakistan and if anyone wants to renew their passport, then they will also have a choice to choose the validity tenure. However, the fee for both is different and it also varies from the page.

If you want an MRP (36 pages) passport with the validity of 5 years then the fee will be lowest, comparatively to the MRP (72 pages) or MRP (100 pages) passport. People with passports near to expiry of 6 months or a year usually apply for the renewal of their passports, if travel frequently.
