In order to improve the automation mechanism and to promote the attestation of documents and the equivalence process for the public, the Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) has given a green light for the digitization of the records of all educational boards.
The Federal Minister for Education, Shafqat Mehmood, directed the education authorities to digitize their records, following which a gathering was convened between the Secretary IBCC, Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, and therefore the executive of the National Information Technology Board (NITB).
In a follow-up meeting of the chairmen, it had been decided that a central repository of the info of all the examination boards of Pakistan are going to be created at the IBCC, Islamabad.
The digitization process are going to be launched in phases, and therefore the pilot phase will have the FBISE Islamabad, the BISE Lahore, the BISE Peshawar, the BISE Quetta, and therefore the BISE Karachi add their records to the central repository. Following this, the prevailing manual data of all the boards are going to be digitized with the support of the NITB.
Finally, the board data will be integrated into the e-portals of IBCC attestation and equivalence, and the existing hybrid system will be turned into full automation.
