In Our Government, We Will Provide Free Electricity For Those Using Up to 300 units: Abdul Aleem Khan

Abdul Aleem Khan, who holds the position of President in the Istehkam-e-Pakistan (IPP), made an important announcement on a Sunday. He shared a plan that, if his party were in charge, households using up to 300 units of electricity would not need to pay for their electricity usage. This move, he explained, is intended to offer relief to people who might be struggling financially.

Aleem also talked about a different way of collecting money from people. He proposed a “progressive” approach to direct taxation, which means that those who are well-off financially should contribute a larger share of their income. This way, the burden of taxes would be distributed more fairly among citizens, with those who have more resources contributing more to the government’s revenue.

In addition to the electricity exemption, Abdul Aleem Khan put forward a suggestion regarding electricity usage and petrol costs. He recommended that the government implement a plan where the first 200 units of electricity consumption are provided free of charge. This could ease the financial strain on many households, especially those with lower consumption levels.

Furthermore, he highlighted the unfairness in the current system of petrol pricing. He emphasized that it’s not equitable to have the same price for petrol across the board, particularly when it comes to motorcycles and larger vehicles. Motorcycles are generally more fuel-efficient and require less fuel than bigger vehicles. Thus, he implied that adjusting the petrol price according to the type of vehicle could result in a fairer and more balanced approach.
