China might have been surpassed by India as world’s most populated nation in a milestone that added emergency for PM Narendra Modi to ensure more job opportunities and the country sustains its world-beating growth.
At the end of 2022, the South Asian’s population was around 1.417 billion, as per estimates by World Population Review, an independent organization focused on census and demographics.
A little over 5 million more than the 1.412 billion reported by China recently, authorities announced the first decrease since the 1960s.
