During a meeting in Riyadh on Sunday, Jake Sullivan, the United States National Security Advisor, held discussions with Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Prime Minister and Crown Prince, Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE National Security Advisor, and Ajit Doval, the National Security Advisor of India.
This meeting has sparked speculation that the three Asian countries are collaborating to establish a significant railway network.
Axios, an American news website, recently published a report suggesting that the United States is exploring plans for this railway network as a prominent Middle East initiative aimed at countering China’s increasing influence in the region.
A White House readout said the leaders and NSA officials met “in Saudi Arabia to advance their shared vision of a more secure and prosperous Middle East region interconnected with India and the world.”
