Indian Father Who Won Dh1-million Mahzooz prize Vows to Support Cancer Treatment, therapy of Sick Family Members

Indian expat Aijaz became a millionaire overnight, winning Dh1 million in a Mahzooz draw. The 49 year old UAE resident, who heads the distribution department at a private company, was left “speechless” upon receiving the news. He had missed the live draw as he was visiting his sister in Abu Dhabi.

Aijaz checked his Mahzooz account to confirm his big win after receiving an email notification. The following day, he received a call from Mahzooz, officially confirming his Dh1 million prize.

As a responsible family man with a wife and three children aged 21, 17, and 14, Aijaz has clear plans for his winnings. He intends to use the money to support his daughter’s higher education and cover the medical expenses for his aunt’s cancer treatment. Additionally, he aims to provide therapy for his mother-in-law, who is currently in a coma at an Indian hospital.

The latest Mahzooz draw not only brought luck to Aijaz but also to 1,402 other winners who shared a total prize money of Dh540,000.

Although the top prize of Dh20 million remained unclaimed this week, 42 participants matched four out of the following five numbers: 3, 7, 22, 30, 31. Each of them received Dh4,762 as the second prize. Furthermore, 1,360 other lucky winners matched three out of the five numbers and were rewarded with Dh250 each.
