According to the news report, on Thursday Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that Govt has decided to register all foreigners in Pakistan.
While talking to the media reporters, he said that “The interior ministry has decided to register all foreigners [in the country], whosoever they may be.”
The interior minister further stated that about 40,000 to 50,000 unknown people had stepped into the country in the past 70 years, “we don’t know about their whereabouts”. Said sheikh rashid.
As per the minister statement, “alien cards” would be issued to the foreigners living in Pakistan which will make them eligible to open their bank accounts, start businesses, get sim cards.
He further added, in case their visa expires they would be able the interior ministry that to continue benefiting these services.
He said that they had caught as well those who were making fake Afghan identity.
The interior minister stated that they had transformed all visa applications online & with the consent of the Cabinet visas will be issued within 30 days.
“Agencies review the applications and if they don’t respond within 30 days, we issue the visas,” he added.
About 4,000-5,000 Pakistanis that are stuck at the Torkham border. Now the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had given permission to open the border for vaccinated persons. Said the interior minister.
The interior minister also spoke on the coming Azad Jammu & Kashmir elections & predicted the PTI’s victory, questioning the opposition’s capability to achieve electoral success.
“[Prime Minister] Imran Khan and the bat will win,” adding that the people would vote for the prime minister in the next general election as well “and for that we will have to further improve our performance”.
