Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that Iran will provide 100 megawatts of electricity daily to Gwadar in Balochistan once the Polan-Gabd electricity transmission line project is operational.
The project was inaugurated by the prime minister and Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, along with a marketplace at the Mand-Pishin border crossing. The transmission line will meet the region’s energy needs and enhance Pakistan-Iran cooperation.
The project’s completion in just four months under PM Shehbaz’s leadership is expected to bring development, trade, and employment opportunities to Gwadar and Balochistan. The border marketplace aims to boost cross-border trade and economic growth.
