The monitoring committee headed by Mohammad Ishaq Dar Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator recently, serious concerns upon the usage of SUV/Sedan cars of over 1800cc by government officers and instructed the concern authorities to stop the use on immediate basis.
The matter comes as Dar headed the second huddle of the monitoring committee to oversee the implementation of austerity measures at the Finance Division, a statement issued by Finance Minister.
The huddle reviewed the implementation of the decisions of its first meeting on the implementation of austerity measures.
The main motive was updated on the status of the usage of luxury cars and was appraised that most of the allotted vehicles got returned back by the cabinet members.
The meeting reviewed about the non-return of the
remaining luxury vehicles and instructs the cabinet division for implementation on strict basis and to get them back within 3 days.
