Islamabad to Get Cable Car and Chairlift Soon

CDA has announced plans to launch a cable car and chairlift service from Daman-e-Koh to Saidpur to promote tourism in Islamabad. The project is expected to attract visitors and generate additional revenue, which will be used for the city’s development.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa highlighted the importance of safety and called for a speedy feasibility study to ensure the project’s success. A Chinese delegation also showed interest in supporting the project by offering their technical expertise and experience in similar ventures.

In addition to the tourism project, the CDA is addressing long-standing issues related to residential plots. Randhawa confirmed that possession of plots in Sector E-12 will be handed over to rightful owners soon after Eidul Fitr. Work in other sectors, including C-14, C-15, and I-12, is also being fast-tracked.

The chairman emphasized the need to remove any obstacles that could delay development projects. He assured residents that efforts are being made to complete pending infrastructure and construction tasks on time.

The cable car and chairlift initiative is part of the CDA’s broader efforts to enhance Islamabad’s appeal as a tourist destination. It will offer breathtaking views of the Margalla Hills, providing both locals and tourists with a unique experience.

As the CDA moves forward with these projects, the focus remains on ensuring safety, maintaining quality, and delivering timely results for the benefit of Islamabad’s residents and visitors.
